Frequently asked questions

What is urolithin A? Is it the same as pomegranate extract?
No. Pomegranate contains only the precursors of urolithin A (ellagitannins and ellagic acid), which the gut microbiota must metabolise into urolithin A; urolithin A itself is not present in any known food. As an ingredient it is supplied as a high-purity active, CAS 1143-70-0.
Is there patent risk in sourcing urolithin A?
Yes. Patent enforcement in this category is active and the risk is real, which is why we treat IP due diligence as part of the product. We have completed an FTO assessment of the current manufacturing process and monitor patent activity continuously; key partners can discuss the details under NDA. Nothing on this site constitutes legal advice.
Is your urolithin A natural?
Urolithin A is a human gut metabolite; occurring naturally in human metabolism is a property of the molecule itself. We do not market the manufacturing process as a selling point: the product is delivered on purity, batch-to-batch consistency and a complete quality dossier, and process information is provided as part of due diligence on request.
What grades of MitoYouth® are available, and at what use levels?
Two grades: 80% (recommended use level 0.1–1%) and 10% water-dispersible WS (recommended use level 1–5%). The ingredient has completed China's new cosmetic ingredient filing (NMPA no. 20250106) and is supported by in-house human efficacy evaluation and a nine-item safety dossier.
Can you provide COAs, samples and stability data?
COAs and samples are available to qualified B2B customers on request; stability data packages are shared with partners as studies progress. Please submit your request through the form above.
What are the minimum order quantity and lead time?
Both depend on the grade and the destination market; please contact our commercial team through the form above for a quotation. Key partners also have a dedicated channel for IP discussions.
